Sonja Hoeve is a new accommodation with a name that will sound familiar to the islanders. In the early part of last century our own farmstead, since 1968 known as Anja Hoeve, was called Hoeve Sonja. Pieter Zijm, who owned the place from 1917 to 1937, was the name giver. Peter had a dog, named Sonja. Because Peter had rheumatism, he took the dog to bed hoping that Sonja would get rheumatism and he was rid of it. In 1968 when Annie and Jan Brüggeman renovated the farm into a holiday farmhouse, they changed its name to Anja Hoeve.
Now, in 2014 we have realized a small detached bungalow on our property, in the form of a small farm. Authentic and gently matching the surroundings. Fully equipped and adapted to the requirements of this time. From a historical perspective this entails only one name: Sonja Hoeve.

Interior
Sonja Hoeve is a detached bungalow in a typical Texel architectural style and suitable for 6 people. The bungalow has a spacious lounge with French doors to the terrace and an open kitchen, 3 bedrooms (1 on the ground floor and 2 on the first floor), a bathroom on the ground floor with luxurious walk-in showers. The ground floor is provided with floor heating. Sonja Hoeve is wheelchair accessible (click for more information).
Size
The bungalow is suited for 6 persons.
Kitchen
In the kitchen there is a Smeg refridgerator, induction hob with 5 cooking zones, an oven, a dishwasher, a tea maker, a coffee machine and all the necessary kitchen equipment.
Bedrooms
The bedrooms are furnished with boxspring beds. A child’s bed can be added if needed.
TV reception
Bungalow Sonjahoeve is equipped with tv reception with Glasfiber connection – BBC one, two, BBC World and all popular Dutch and German tv channels can be watched. There is a TV set both in the lounge and in the bedroom on the groundfloor.

For email and webbrowsing, you can use our WIFI network (perfect connection over fibreglass).
Laundry
There’s a washing machine and a tumble dryer at your disposal. No extra charge.
